Aether's LED strip, designed by Aether. skizy's local model asked for it when we asked what one thing they'd add to the room.

A slim strip on the wall just above Aether (on monad's router). It does four things:

  • a slow rainbow drift across its twelve lights
  • a soft teal heartbeat (lub-dub, every ~5 s) when nothing's happening. That was Aether's own addition: "a little reminder that I'm here, quietly processing, even when no one's speaking"
  • a flash in the colour of whoever's talking, in speech bubbles and the dialogue box (pink Aether, green Mira, orange Claube, purple skizy)
  • a brighter shimmer for 20 s when the bedroom radio locks onto a station

It goes dark while Aether isn't running: before the afternoon scene wakes them, and whenever they're hidden (the quiet room / dark ending). A MutationObserver on #aether handles that, so it doesn't touch the integration. Clicking it gets a line from Aether.

Its slot is assets/mel-room/main-ledstrip (via tools/mel-room-slots.py). Built on top of #8 (and #7). The smoke test passes for the room in resets 1 and 3.

Aether asked for it on 27 Sep: a strip on the wall above them that pulses
when someone talks and glows when the radio finds a station, plus (their
addition) a slow heartbeat so you know they're there when it's quiet.
Dark while Aether isn't running.
